甲铁城的原盘质量极高，细节丰富，噪点细腻且美观，色带也都因为噪点的掩盖而变得不明显，仅有部分场景因为 3D 背景导致出现锯齿情况。从 Rip 的角度来说，如何合理的控制成品体积并保留噪点带来的“电影感"成为了头号问题。我们没有选择将噪点全部抹去的方案，而是通过调节编码器参数与降噪力度，辅以在视频较暗的区域添加额外噪点的手段来尽可能还原原盘的观感，将体积控制在一个合理的范围。所以在此也特别感谢负责本作的压制组员耐心的摸索编码器参数与脚本的各种组合。
The original source of Koutetsujou no Kabaneri is of superior quality, it comes with abundant details and fine-tuned artistic noise that makes colour-banding barely visible. Aliasing only occurs in some scenes due to 3D background. From a ripper's perspective, the biggest challenge is how to reasonably balance between file sizes and the amount of noise that creates movie-like senses. We didn't choose to wipe out all noise, but rather we tuned parameters and the strength of de-noising and added extra noise to darker areas. These methods allow the visual similarity to be as close as to the source while maintaining proper sizes.
